In order to create an effective seamless community of care, the Harlem Children's Zone has developed an extensive network of relationships with other providers. For most of our families who require services that we do not provide, we are able to refer them to providers within the neighborhood. This allows our families to be treated by people who make them feel welcome and who stay in close contact with Harlem Children's Zone caseworkers. Harlem Children's Zone referrals may be for services ranging from substance abuse prevention and treatment to health and mental health services including pre- and postnatal services.
