How do I enroll my child in the lottery for the new school?

For parents interested in enrolling their child in Promise Academy I at St. Nicholas Houses, please refer to the lottery and enrollment details, found below.

What programs will exist in the community center?

Evening program at the new school at St. Nicholas Houses will look similar to the current Evening Program held at Promise Academy, at 125th street and Madison Avenue.  Please see this schedule to see the current offerings and for what is to be expected at our future site.

We would like to welcome Aerobics to the Salem Community Center! Classes will be held every Tuesday evening, from 7:00pm - 8:30pm in the Salem Gymnasium, beginning NOVEMBER 29, 2011. This class is free to all St. Nick residents. Come to the Salem Community Center for more information!

What programs are currently available for youth and adults?

Interested in an after school program for your child?  The Harlem Children’s Zone Community Centers take a holistic approach in servicing the youth of Harlem.  The St. Nicholas Community Center and Community Center at Salem Church provide academic support, athletics and encourage creative expression.  For more details on programs for your child or teen, please take a look at the brochures for the St. Nicholas Community Center and Salem Community Center. We will also soon begin offering adult programs at Salem Community Center – check back soon for more information.
